With the advent of dental implants, placing of implants is often considered a panacea to replace missing teeth.
Although implants can be a wonderful treatment, solving many problems, there are often alternatives that may be less invasive and/or less expensive.
Options to replace missing teeth include: a partial denture that replaces the missing teeth with a removable appliance or a fixed bridge that support a floating, or pontic replacement tooth, wit crowns on the adjacent teeth.
Before proceeding with implants, you should always discuss all other options with your Prosthodontist.
